PINOY TOKWA AT PECHAY GUISADO INGREDIENTS
A basic guisado often includes pork or shrimp for added flavor. Why not try adding tokwa instead? It is just as nutritious and definitely costs cheaper.
1/2 cup salad or corn oil
5 pieces tokwa, cubed
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 medium size onion, chopped
3 medium size tomatoes, chopped
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 bundles pechay, separate stems from leaves
Kinchay leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
PINOY TOKWA AT PECHAY GUISADO PROCDURE
- Heat the oil then fry the tokwa until golden brown. Set aside.
- In the same pan, saute the garlic, onions, and tomatoes until tender. Add the tokwa.
- Season with oyster sauce. Add chopped pechay stems. Cook until tender then add the pechay and kinchay leaves.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cook until pechay is done.
