FILIPINO RECIPE ~ HAMONADA ~
PINOY HAMONADA INGREDIENTS
1 to 1 1/2 kilo pork leg
1 head of garlic
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 small can pork and beans
1/4 cup vinegar or calamansi juice or lemon juice
powdered black pepper
laurel leaves or cinnamon powder
PINOY HAMONADA PROCEDURE
- Marinate pork leg in sou sauce and vinegar or calamansi for atleast 2 hours. Fry pork leg in boiling cooking oil until it becomes reddish brown.
- Set aside the marinade. Transfer pork leg to a sauce pan and boil water. Add the pork and beans, garlic, black pepper, laurel or cinnamon.
- Boil the pork until it is tender, adding water gradually as needed to keep it from drying up. Allow just enough stock to make the sauce.
- Add marinade and cook until the sauce is thick. Serve hot.
