HOT AND SOUR TOFU SOUP
PINOY STYLE ~ HOT AND SOUR TOFU SOUP ~
HOT AND SOUR TOFU SOUP INGREDIENTS
4 1/2 chicken stock
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
1 tbsp. dry sherry
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. white vinegar
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
125g. firms tofu, cut into 1 cm cubes
1 egg white, beaten
4 lettuce leaves, shredded
HOT AND SOUR TOFU SOUP PROCEDURE
- Blend stock with cornstarch and bring to a boil. Add ginger, sherry, soy sauce, vinegar, and pepper. Simmer for 3 minutes.
- Add tofu and simmer for another 3 minutes. Slowly pour beaten egg white. Stir.
- Garnish with shredded lettuce leaves.
